    You need to be upgraded, but you simply combine a collected egg, with a collected straw! Or you can also inseminate the mare with the straw and pull the embryo that way but I believe it costs a bit more and you can't keep collecting eggs from the mare

    Once you have created the embryo you have to click the 'implant an embryo' selection, then pick which mare you want to use as the surrogate (from a drop down list), and implant the egg. You CAN use outside mares if you want.

    Actually as a basic upgrade account you can create one embryo from a mare and then breed the mare regularly. I have done that with my hidden gates mare, that way I get two foals out of her a year. It costs around 12k though.
