She's a foundation horse that was created by an account with less than 20,000 points, so she was created with points. (Such horses are created with between 1 and 1000 points.) So the horse isn't bugged, and you bought yourself a nice little pixel pony for a pretty good price.

As for the log-in, can't say for sure, but I suspect that if the internet window is continually open, the user won't be logged out, and therefore won't be logged back in. For example, when I was getting my new player awards when I joined, I had the same Chrome window open for a week, and wasn't actually logging out of HJ when I closed the window, so it took a little extra time to hit my "log-in three days" bonus.
