When I first started playing, I bred for color, and that only. I then learned about points, even breeding, etc. I still want to breed for color on this account, but almost all of my horses got bad scores, and got spayed/gelded! So don't do what I did, and make sure your horses pass breeding! I'm only down to two of my original horses. But my w8 and w2 appy stud managed to pass breeding, and my "super" stud is producing some passing foals so far. I'm still testing the waters with him, but he's producing some goodies!

Way to go! It can be hard to cull but I find it can also be super freeing to go out with the old and make way for new.

I’ve played since 2006 but have cleared out my barns a few times over the years and changed breeding goals.

Lately I’ve been on a massive sort, geld/spay, label (breeding prefixes and tattoos for everyone), sell (aged show horses between 10-15years) trying to catch up and thin out my breeding herds to fit my pastures.

What are your breeding goals for your barns?

I'd like for them to pass breeding, score over 10, and mainly be studs. I don't test superiority to sire, but I'm trying to get more in a habit of it. I've also been wanting to get more drafts. Kinda been stuck in the warmblood curse lol.
