What do you need help with?

If the horse carries it, it's possible to get it without buying it.. they need 2 kit genes like Roan, Tobiano, Sabino, White 20.. and they also need 2 Kit Promoter genes... A KP carrier will have a 50/50 chance of throwing KP to its foal so even if you have 2 heterozygous KP horses, you may have a season where you get no homozygous KP foals or you'll have an entire season where you have all Homozygous KP foals

If you want a foundation with Kit Promoter genes, you will have to buy 2 copies. KP only shows if a horse has two copies. Horse will not show KP with 1 copy.

If you are interested in straws or eggs I breed for KP up to 4th Gen. I may also sell some of my het kp 2nd gens as I have them coming out the wazhoo.

My prefixes:

JS- stallion
JL- Mare
a - 2nd Gen
b - 3rd Gen
c - 4th Gen
KP - homo kp
kp - het kp, has 1 homo kp parent

I don’t mark a horse kp unless I know for sure they have it either direct descendant of a homo kp horse or if they (or their descendants) produced a homo kp horse. So there are some het kp in there with only 1 kit gene

She is a second generation mare, homozygous for Kit Promoter (even though you can't see it due to the two cream genes).

So.. I have this guy and finally have enough to GM him...

He has 2 of the W20... so if I add two KP he will be homo KP... right?

However he is lined so unless his mom and dad carry KP, you will not be able to add it to him specifically
