Upgrading to Basic Account
  • Hello,
    I have purchased the introductory upgrade for $1.99 USD, and have yet to see that update reflected on my account. It has been over an hour now, and I realized the Paypal account I used is not using the same email as my account... is this a problem? Should I be contacting Mods or the Admin about this, to get it fixed?

    Or, because I made the purchase through my account, it will be okay and I just need to be more patient? Has anyone else used a different email than that of their account?

  • Hi, I had used a different email on both my HJ1 and HJ2 accounts than what my PayPal email was. I had a premium and basic upgrade respectively. What I think you need to do, if I remember correctly, is activate the basic upgrade from your upgrade manager page. On mobile, go to the bottom of the Member Home page and it will say Upgraded Features. Under that it says Manage Upgrades. That page will list all upgrades. Click the Activate box next to your upgrade. I hope this works for you! It's been awhile since I went through it.

    Thanks, I found the Manage Upgrades page.

    Under "Manage Your Upgrades" I have "Current Upgrade Level: Basic Upgrade" listed, so it looks like it has actually switched my account type? The page also says "You have a total of 0 upgrades" beneath that. So there's nothing for me to turn off/on yet.,.

    However, it appears as if the 25,000 hbs and 10 acre pasture haven't shown up, unless I need to go to a certain page to collect them? I also don't actually have access to any of the areas that come with the Basic Upgrade, as I'm redirected to the page to purchase upgrades.

    Maybe it's in progress? xD

  • That is strange, I hope you are able to resolve this easily!

    I'm fairly new myself, but I will say that I currently have a premium (and previously got a basic upgrade) on this account with a different email address, so I'm fairly certain that isn't your issue. Good luck! :)

  • Still nothing..

    I have tried checking the Manage Upgrades page on my current browser, Chrome, both on PC and my Android phone. And I checked the Firefox browser for good measure. "Manage Upgrades" still says I have a Basic Account, but no pages that require a Basic Account for access are allowing me access.

    Is this a bug? :o
  • So, I went onto my own upgrade page to double check, and this confused me a little but when I got my basic upgrade, the activate button sort of floats above the line, so it wasn't really clear at first that it was for my basic.

    Does your page look anything like this?
    I have a premium upgrade now, so I know that will be different! Hope this is helpful :-/

  • Aw man, too bad. I see you also don't have the check and clear star you should have by your username for a basic upgrade :-?

    Oh! Okay, update: so I just went to check on my HJ2 account (not upgraded at all) and the page looks exactly like you posted above, also saying Current Upgrade Level: Basic Upgrade. So that must just be the default message unrelated to your upgrade status. Ack, wish I could be more helpful!

  • Yep! Paypal sees it and got the Paypal email confirmation to the account I used. All good on that end!

    When you logged out, did you use the Log Out link on the left menu? If not, give that a try.

    Just as an FYI - the payment is not showing up on this end.

    Ammit (the game developer/owner) will be back to work on Saturday and can definitely fix the whole mess! She is really nice about taking care of these kind of things, but she just happens to be on vacation this week.

    Until then, is there anything I can help you with? What did you most look forward to from the upgrade? Lets see if I can help you out.

  • I have logged out and back in a few times, but it has not yet helped.

    Strange that it's not showing up! I have checked it on my end as far as the email I use for paypal goes, paypal itself, and my banking online: all confirm it, so I can provide that information and share screenshots with Ammit once she is back from her vacation and has time. (Private message, email, whatever is best.) I doubt this is the most important thing on the list to sort out!

    I only just started playing, and thought I'd give the intro/basic upgrade a try. There's a lot of useful features I'm seeing players with basic/premium accounts discussing in the forums. I'm not missing out on anything by waiting: we'll get it sorted.

  • @Talizmyn Hi, this can happen on rare occasion when the payment processing page dosn't load properly on your browser. Can you send me a PM with the email you used for PayPal? I can confirm the payment that way and get it added to your account. So sorry for the delay!
