In search of a horse
-
I'm in search of a paint colored mare that is gold papered and I don't have much money so she has to be cheap.
-
What are you looking to use her for? If your looking to build a breeding herd I always suggest starting at foundation level and building up because your less likely to get intact foals from the higher generation or higher papered horses because there is more likely to be a bigger difference in quality between the mare and stud that the foal has to be that much better to stay intact.
Also there are tons of paint coloured horse genes. You may find it beneficial to spend some time on the search page searching horses to see what patterns you prefer to narrow down your requirements for the mare by changing each gene from default to must have and back. The Kit genes control the paint like patternsBreeding even generation Grullos with KP, Axiom RBG & Wrong Warp, Chinnchilla, Onyx, Phantom Autumn, Bats, Ghosts, Pumpkins, Skulls & Spiders, Plaid, Watercolour genes -
Splash genes can cause paint-like patterns, too. Overo patterns are caused by the Olw gene working on Kit and Splash mutations, but you have to be careful not to risk a dead foal if both sire and dam carry Olw.

I don’t have anybody who fits the bill, but this gal is up for public sale; is she something like what you’re interested in?
MS Classical Tricks L $
If not, what would you like to be different about her?Post edited by LenasHollywood at 2019-04-25 11:33:28 -
A little darker and around 16 hands.
-
I've found a gold papered mare just don't know how about her would anyone look at her and tell me if she would be good enough for comanchie warrior....
-
Posting links help so much. Go to the horses page and scroll to the bottom there’s a box with a code you can copy it all and paste it here then it will show like the horse above.Breeding even generation Grullos with KP, Axiom RBG & Wrong Warp, Chinnchilla, Onyx, Phantom Autumn, Bats, Ghosts, Pumpkins, Skulls & Spiders, Plaid, Watercolour genes

“Good enough” all depends on your breeding goals. What are you setting out to achieve? Intact foals of breeding quality superior to their parents? High potential show horses? Ponies that make your barn look snazzy in a certain special way?
I second Bandit’s comment above - posting links will definitely help get your questions answered quicker.Post edited by LenasHollywood at 2019-04-26 04:13:57 -
I want excellent high leveled horses. The horses that's been fixed is no good for me
-
Is this the stallion you have, that you’re looking for a mare to breed to?
Cochise warrior
Edit: Show horses are the lifeblood of this game, they’re the money makers. Most players try to have at least a 1 to 3 ratio of breeding stock and show horses.Post edited by Silverstar at 2019-04-26 16:42:11 -
@Rockingsc it takes time to get high leveled horse here, lots of work :) but if you start with foundations you have a good chance of working up. That way you know the exact quality of your breeding stock and then you can continue to make them even better. Plus its rewarding in the end!
If you're looking for specifics (such as what you listed above, darker and taller) then by starting your own line you could get exactly what you're looking for with a little bit of work and patience ;) It takes some time to get started but trust me when you finally get the foal you wanted, its so much better knowing you spent time to breed it!
If you absolutely want to buy a high quality horse from someone else maybe take some time and money out to start a large show string so you can rack up more money to spend on a great horse! It's going to be very very hard to find a high level, quality bred, exactly what you're looking for horse and not having lots of funds can kind of inhibit that search.
So overall (hope it wasn't too long of advice I just really wanted to explain good enough) I hope you find what your looking for whether you decide to keep perusing a horse to buy or decide to start your own line...good luck! -
Thank everyone for helping me out and I'm wanting to raise flashy paints.
-
@Rockingsc Paints are a great choice! You have a few options for those. You can choose tobiano or splash, or frame which gives an over pattern (But it's lethal, you can look up lethal whites in the forms :) ). Sabino might be considered paint to some people (or maybe just a white marking i'm not sure) and there sb1 and sb2. Take a look through genetics and see what you want!

And of course KitM:

And a bunch more Kit genes... but that would be really long. You can combine any of them :)

You’ll have to be careful breeding them together, because frame is lethal when a horse inherits 2 Frame genes. Meaning if you have a mare a stud that both have one copy of Frame and you breed them together you have a 25% chance that the foal will die. What many people do is only have Frame in their mares. Not their stallions.
