Question about eras

I was looking at two foundation studs that I recently created, and I'm a bit confused on their eras. This guy was created first on 5/17, and is an era 7.

But then this guy was created on 5/19, but is an era 6. Does anyone have any idea why this is?

That is because the second guy is an exceptional producer; all exceptional producers have a 105% breeding ability (perfect foundies are 100%), so they are somewhat 'boosted', therefore they will jump 'back' one era.
If you'd were to boost your first guy, he will jump back one era to era 6 too.
