*Sigh* I didn't get everything done
-
I had so much going on this month, plus being ill for one week, that I fell behind on my breeding and missed out on 2 and half generations worth.
I missed breeding my main 4th gen pasture, and all of the 5th gen and 6th gen ladies.
it's times like these when I miss the old breeding season cycle. Now it's rush here and rush there to get things done.
-
I haven't been able to breed everything for the past 4(?) months, I think. I didn't think the one months would hit me as hard, since I already do every month on the other server. But I was wroooong. lolID 195859

I love the monthly breeding cycle! But I didn’t get to everyone this season either. I took too long to decide who I wanted to breed my red papered foundation mares to this season. Oops! lol
-
The monthly breeding cycle really helped me get my barn in order, can't keep breeding so much anymore. I cut down about 1/3 of the mares I had, sold a lot, and now breeding season is much more enjoyable and less of a running-like-a-chicken-with-its-head-cut-off feeling for 3 weeks

I have the same experience as ichigo. The new system has started to grow on me, especially after the new auction system came. I am more inspired than I have been for a long, long time, and are planing new projects etc.
I did not have time to breed my 4th gens, but next year they will be top priority. I am not so stressed about getting everything done anymore.
Somehow, I feel more in control over my herd, and I also know that with the new system, I will have the funds to GMT and breed the horses that I REALLY want.
So I bred fewer horses, but I love them more, because they are exactly what I want. It is easier than ever before to strictly combine quality and colour. I am starting to get the same feeling I had when I started, when breeding season lasted only for 2 weeks every 2nd month, and my best friend and I came together and had a party to celebrate each breeding season, and we spent the rest of the time to plan breeding, projects etc.
I don't miss the short breeding seasons though! It is just the general feel of playing the game that has returned :x -
I love the single month breeding season. I never experienced the two month wait, but I barely have the patience to wait the full month because I love the beautiful babies so much!
-
Same! I’ve tried to spread my breeding out as much as possible through the month because doing it all in the beginning and having to wait the whole rest of the month is hard. :-)) But that’s hard, too! I love seeing all the pretty babies.

Yeah, I'm slowly getting my stable in order so breeding becomes more manageable for me. But it requires time to do, and that was in short supply this month. I figure I will find some time here and there this week to do the 1st round of mare culling then start a more in depth 2nd round of culling.
