Since the roving gene sale is changing daily and my birthday is in less than a week, I am treating myself to a couple GMT projects. The problem is that I am not totally sure what I want to do for these three boys. So, I am looking for some suggestions. I have some ideas but would love to have some outside opinions.

The only real preferences I have is for them to be light on fantasy genes. I like Chinchilla and mushroom but not so much ice genes. I've been thinking about dabbling in nacre, watercolor, and nexus but I'm not sure. I really like kitM, KP, and sooty+ but I really like having a variety of studs/horses so I don't want to put the same thing on all three of these guys.

I would be happy to give straws from these boys (when they're ready) to those who make suggestions.

I definitely have a soft spot for liver KitM combos lol Nexus is easy enough to find straws for if you just want to dabble I can send you some from my guys just to make sure you like it. Sooty plus would look really good on the top boy with the super dapples but on the liver boy it’ll add a reddish hue, which I also like but it’s not every ones cup of tea lol. Grullo is another good one to play with :) I personally like Sabino 2 and white8. Actually I like white8 on pretty much anything haha just waiting for it to come out. What are your thoughts on adding the new Onyx gene to one of them when it comes out?

You should make that first guy Homozygous ND1 with Sty+, Homozygous Appaloosa and silver. And maybe add rabies I too.

I think sooty+ will look good on the first guy. I’ll probably add kitm to the liver because I can’t resist.

As for onyx, I really want to like it and add it to someone but I won’t really know until I see it.

The first boy I'd add:
S+ or silver (to make him silver bay) or both! I like the splash on him but sb2 would look great mixed in, he might get more white on him though.

2nd boy:
I really think he'd look great with a darker base coat that stands out against the appy spots, maybe two copies of sty or even S+ (although I've never seen S+ on a grullo roan)

3rd guy:
Sabino all the way for me, I think he'd look great with some sb2 on him (I'm such a sucker for it) or even a small appaloosa blanket would look so cute. But going with Nikkel666 I think S+ would look good too if you don't want to add any white genes to him, I personally like S+ on almost anything.

I have 2 S+ grullo roans, honestly S+ added to them doesn't do much if anything. Might change a little if they were silver grullo with S+ though.
