I agree that I’ve seen before that you can’t use an upgrade to benefit a non-upgraded account (which absolutely makes sense), but I can’t actually find it in the rules. Anybody able to find where I may have missed it?

This piques my interest because of this loophole senerio:

NUA has egg and straw
NUA sells pieces to UA
UA creates an embryo

NOW
Could that upgraded (UA) account sell that embryo to the nonupgraded account (NUA) and it be considered okay?
Or could they create and sell the resulting foal to the NUA, also considered okay?

It is against the rules to use someone elses upgrade for any reason. I will, however, let Ammit know to make the final decision, but I would hold off for now.

This is the section of the rules I am using as a guideline. If you want to contest the "horse be sold" part, you can take it up with Ammit.

But wouldn't basic upgrade members not have the option to implant an embryo if that was the case? They can buy and implant embryos, just can't make them. What about when we sell eggs, I've made embryos for people wanting the eggs from my mares but only had the basic upgrade, so I've had them send me the straw and I sell the resulting embryo back to them, but it's just an embryo, not a foal.

I could see it being an issue if a basic wanted, to lets say, sba a foal but didn't have that option so sold it to an upgraded member just to sba it and sold it back.

Where exactly does that line fall, just so I make sure to get it right:
1. Is it OK to create a foal using an embryo from independently sourced straw/egg and later sell it to a player without an upgrade, assuming the sale was not planned ahead of time?
2. Is it OK to purchase either straw or egg from a player without an upgrade and later sell him the foal, assuming the sale was not planned ahead of time?
3. It is not OK to make an agreement ahead of the foal’s birth that it will be bred for a player without an upgrade to breed a foal using an embryo, correct?
4. What if the agreement in scenario 3 was based on a discussion of qualities desired in a foal, and did not include how the foal would be produced and the embryo creation was the most effective way to create the foal you want to sell: OK or no?

Sorry to be a pain, but I want to make sure I know the rules correctly so I can play by them.
