Show horses
-
How do I know which horse will be good show horses and which will be my good breeders?
-
Generally speaking, the PT score of a horse will determine how long and how well it trains for showing--the higher the PT the longer it will train. For foundation horses (those you create), PT scores in the 9's are most common, unless you have used a herd helper for Exceptionally Perfect or Excecptional Show horses. Anything below that won't be quite as good.
Horses that test consistent are easier to show, because their show score will remain stable each week without a lot of variation. Inconsistent horses have largely inconsistent scores in a week.
If you are able to paper your horses, then this will help guide you to who will be the better breeders. See this part of the User Guide for the details.
