Super low PT score....
-
Still learning how this all works, but just got this mare from a herd helper link. Her breeding score is yellow, and even consistent but her score is 0.5!? I’m mostly looking for mares to get color from, so grabbed her for being a tobiano but even then, all her offspring have potential for low scores too, right? Spaying her seems counter productive since that number goes more for showing, so curious what everyone thinks and what they would do? I’m still a baby breeder at this, but definitely want to figure this out before I make a stupid mistake. Thanks in advance!

PT has nothing to do with the breeding ability. She has just as much of a chance at producing good and even amazing foals like all the others. I'll show an example.
Here, this is the last page of all my mares. As you can see I have some pretty bad PT scores in here. One is even at 0.30! But if you go to the family page and click on the link to the foals you'll see I get good babies with nice PT scores just like I would with any other mare. I think my best example is "Golden Pie".

@Cotyos your welcome. :) Its always nice to help other players, as you may or may not have seen this community likes to do it a lot. Anything you need help with we'll all be here. Remember there is no such thing as a stupid answer here, even the big players who been playing 6+ years get confused sometimes.♥️Thanked by 1ConfluenceStable

I'd breed her to C or B foundation stallions if she were mine. A C foundation stallion will give you your best chance at intact foals, though. :)

This is my .50 PT score mare.
Paradox Incognito
If you look at her foals, all the ones I’ve kept from her are 10s and one is 10.30. All from C paper stallions. And the highest PT foal? His sire’s PT is only 5.70. -
