What is Breeding “in house”?
-
I always see people talking about keeping the breeding “in house” when talking about studs or mares up for brood and I’ve still got no idea what it means :))
-
It means that you don't share the horse/lines with other people. I guess we should call it "in barn" :-))I breed Drafts and star horses :D

Thank you! That makes total sense!

Don't sell intact descendants without asking, basically! (Or straws or eggs)Spiderweb Stables

Or sell them to another without contacting who sold them to you

Any restrictions, including keeping a line 'in house' will not, however, be supported by the game/admins, and any fallout in the form of drama or complaints may result in consequences up to, and including banning.

@ConfluenceStable - we're still able to ban other players ourselves from our stock though, right? I know it's a last resort, but I think it's still an option...
-
And BlueBoy - a lot of us request lines to stay in-house only because we've spent a lot of money on the line (Real life $ or game money). I've personally had people disregard this wish of mine and breed horses willy nilly, unevenly, and of poor quality - and as a player who works very hard to keep high quality, even bred horses - it really upset me. It's just a preference, though, and as Confluence said admins won't uphold it. But if a player bought a horse/straw/egg under the condition to keep in-house only and they didn't, other players may choose to not do business with said person in the future.
It all really comes down to trust. :) -
You re correct, Sharayah Stables. Fortunately we have a TON of trustworthy players, and as long as everyone is polite about it, most issues are resolved amicably.

Yep, we definitely have a great community and fortunately I haven't had issues in a very long time! <3
