Gene Buying Question

When you buy a Gene and you own that gene could you breed babies with the gene or does the horse you bought it on only have that gene? Like say I have a Stallion and Mare with the new Splash M Gene and breed them together will the foal also have the gene or no?

Yes, foals bred from foundations with genes purchased through the RGS can inherit those purchased genes from their parents :)

The foal can inherit the gene but it would still be possible for it to not if the mare and/ or stallion were only heterozygous for the gene just like any other gene.
