So I love pixel ponies, I'm a hoarder I'll admit it.But uh, is 201 stallions too many? I don't feel like it is, even if I don't use them I still feel like I might at some point, right? I mean if anything I need more. In fact I need ALL the pixel ponies. Because I'm addicted to this game...and I love it!

I try to keep under 60, closer to 30

Oh my :)) I have 57 currently (and that's with a bunch that are solely for my DP project in very specific crossings). Excluding those I have 48. Personally I already feel like I have too many studs :')

Do you have any specific breeding goals? Any colors you're aiming for? If you don't what's holding you back from having used these guys already?

I definitely understand about wanting to collect them all, but it might be more sustainable in the long run to geld some for show horses, that way you can still get to admire them! But in the long run if you're enjoying them one way or another, I think that's all that matters :D

I currently have 1001 stallions but only 134 have been sorted and approved to be used in my program. The other 867 still have to be weeded through.

Typically I go through and weed out any inconsistent, non grullo boys. I’ve also started to cut down any Ee or De colts. Then I paper everyone and go through each of my stallions that have foals and pull up a search to trim any that have papered lower than their brothers. Comparison test against site to trim out any AGA or worse. Add prefixes to denote generation and any special gene lines. Whatever is left I cut down to 3 per stud.

Once everyone is completely sorted I empty my pastures and reload them up. Any over age studs left out of the pastures get snipped. There was probably one reason or another he wasn’t included in the 3-9 stud slots per generations pastures.

I currently have 25 stallions, with 9 I’m planning on selling or gelding, 1 or 2 that are going to be mares when I have the funds, and one or two I haven’t decided if I need or not. So that’s 12 stallions and most of those I use regularly. I guess I’m not a normal example of numbers lol.

Right now I have 18 studs, that's including my Foundations. After ever breeding season I go through and snip or sell all the ones I wont be using (i.e. lower papers, not the right color etc.). I'd love to find more stallions but I think I need more mares first :)) I have a problem with being TOO picky on what I keep.
