    I’m trying to figure out if I should spay this Homozygous DP chocolate palomino filly. Advice?
    Licensed for Mushroom,Onyx, Watercolor, Ice 13, ice 16, Phantom lace, Phantom Diamond sparkle.

    I find that when I think to spay or not to spay. Spaying is the almost always the answer.

    I figure if a foal has got me to stop long enough to think should I spay something about it sticks out making it less than another horse in my barn.

    I also do a lot of gelding/ spaying from the barn and search pages so that a pretty face doesn’t sway me from my requirements I’ve set for my barn.

    If she were mine I’d spay her for her inconsistency

    You could also consider selling - she’d make a great addition to a newer player’s her even though she’s borderline for your standards.

    She still could be superior to her dam. Is there another reason you would spay her besides her paper level?

    I allow 2-3 generations per paper level as long as they are superior they are improving

    She’s superior so you could stick her in a pasture and see how she does. I’ve done that with the odd red 3G.

    As a general rule, however, I require my 3Gs to be blue/A.

    Foundations - Yellow/Red, 2nd gen Red/Blue, 3rd gen Blue, 4th gen Blue/Gold, 5th gen Gold. Those are the standards I have for mine.
