Can't move freshly-minted stallion foals back to pasture?
-
I'm on one of my free accounts (plethorapenname), doing my first pasture breedings of the year, and noticed that when I try to move my foals back into the pasture to make some more room, the little stallions won't move over. Just thought I'd let yall know!Post edited by Ammit at 2019-10-07 17:11:02ID #238663, she/her pronouns

@PersianPenName yes they will not go back in the pasture once taken out. It was once frustrating to me in the beginning because I was always needing space. But now I don't care because I'm trying my best to keep some empty stalls.

Anything you are moving into a pasture must be no more than 1 year under full breeding age: 2 years for stallions or 3 years for mares. However, I believe there is a bug that has been letting folks move 2 year old mares into pastures. Some players have mentioned that recently. I expect that Ammit may have that bug on a to-do list somewhere.

Moving 2 year old mares into pastures is a bug? I've done that almost a year ago! Been around for some time I guess.
-
On the other hand, horses that are in a pasture and age up beyond breeding age are not automatically removed. Horses that are beyond breeding age will move into a pasture though. I just checked that out.

Huh, I had thought that foals could be taken out and put back in to the foal storage area? It's working for my foal mares, just not the foal stallions.ID #238663, she/her pronouns

Huh, and now it's working again just fine? Must've been some sort of hiccup, I suppose.ID #238663, she/her pronouns

This sounds kind of like a bug to me? I've never heard of it being possible to move 1yo foals of any gender back into pasture once they've been removed. I just tried it on some of mine (both through the foal page and checking them on the barn page) and it wouldn't allow me to move them from barn to pasture.
You're saying you can move any foals from the current season into pastures? Just so I can understand are there any limits beyond that? :-/ID: 247225

Not into the part of the pasture for the breeding mares or stallions, but into the list on the bottom of the current foals, yes.ID #238663, she/her pronouns

No, that have to be a bug. Ammit has always been very clear on the fact that pastures are not meant to be used to store foals.ID 195859

You definitely aren't supposed to be able to put the foals back in the pasture.Need to contact me? Read this first.
