GMT advice - how to overcome indecisiveness?
  • This week has been rough for me to say the least, and it has been quite trying on my mental health. To take my mind off things and since I love all things Halloween, I'm really hoping to make a stud with some fun new phantom genes to start a side project with. I thought of something I'd really love as a base, but I have just rescued a new cat this month & I don't want to spend too much.

When you have a bigger GMT project in mind than you could realistically afford, how do you narrow down which genes you get and which you leave?

For reference, my dream for this stud would have:
    Ee
    het At
    het dun
    hom sty
hom tob or tob & another maybe kit gene
    and/or
het or hom sp or sp2

I'd have to spend a minimum of 5+ GMT tokens to accomplish this, which is just a bit more than I can give right now. Any advice for controlling a GMT addiction? :))

  • I GMT everything... lol it is an addiction lol I usually see if I can find a base horse that has most of what I’m looking for already if I’m not adding tons of other bling. I put your requests in the gene search thing and it looks like you need a Taco Town RS. If you’re ok with frame then you can almost leave them “stock” or remove the frame and wild bay and add splash. I have a couple of them if you’d like one? What body type do you breed for?

  • I usually breed drafts, but I totally forgot about taco towns! Could I possibly get back to you in a few days with a decision? I usually work with red/B foundations, but it does look like a taco town would be the closest to the colors I'd like

  • Of course and hey, boost tokens are on sale as well lol
  • I have this draft Taco mare:

    Cornicen

I was hanging onto her because she doesn't not fit my plans, but she's not really what i'm breeding for either. Lemme know if she fits the bill! (She doesn't have splash but does have tobiano & sabino1.)

  • You should be able find most of those things on a create somewhere, at least enough so you won't need so many gmts!

  • @Vella & @Nikkel666 I decided that I'm going to use a taco town for the base on the other server since I already focus on C papered foundations there, and I'm going to decide on another expro-base for this server. Thank you guys for the offer though!
