Selling horses??
-
How do you sell multiple horses on the forum, and how do you set the price?? Thanks
-
You can sell multiple horses on the forum in a couple of ways. One is to give the horses you want to sell a sale price and then conduct a search for all of your horses that are for sale by selecting "For Sale" in the Status category at the upper left of the Search Horses page and entering your user ID number in the Owner field. Then post the URL of that search here in your forum add. This works well when trying to sell a fairly large number of horses.
The second way, especially if there are only a few horses on the list is to make a post the images of the horses, a small blurb about each one if you wish, and a link to its page. To post an image, right click on the picture of the horse, to get the image location, and then come back to the forum post, click on the little picture icon at the top of the box where you write your post (it's the third one on the right), and then paste the image URL where the cursor is flashing in the middle of the code between the quotation marks. After that, I usually go back to the horse page and copy the URL of that page and post it on the line below.
As for setting prices, that's more tricky. Keep in mind that most players are creating and breeding horses, too, and probably have more than they need. Unless there is something special about your horses for sale, there's not much sense in pricing them very high. You might want to set the price for ordinary foundations about 2600 hbs, which is a bit more than you would get for them from the auction yourself, but still higher that the price the meat buyer (Fugiyama Super Yum Yum Company) pays there. This will prevent people from buying your horses for less than that and then turning around and reselling them in the auction for a quick profit.
For lined horses with rarer colors, you could try using a forum auction, setting a reserve price either openly posted or kept to yourself until it's reached as you choose, and seeing what the market will bear by letting the bidders decide how much they're willing to pay.
You could look through some of the forum sale adds to see what people have charged for their horses.
Generally speaking, this is not a game where you can count on making a lot of money by selling horses. It's better to build up a sizable herd of horses that are showing regularly, whether neutered or intact, and building up the total number of points your herd has gained doing that to increase your weekly showing bonus, which is now 50% of the total number of points. (That is, if your living horses have gathered 2000 points, your bonus will be 1000 hbs.)Thanked by 1Johara
