Ive been GMTing this boy to perfection lately and now that he’s finally three, I can’t wait to use him this breeding season and post him up for straws so that others can use him too. I know a few people where excited for him to be offered for straws this season.
The only problem is, I was really hoping to add Sooty+ to him because it’s recently become one of my favorite genes. Since it didn’t come up in the roving gene sales for the beginning of this month, the odds of it coming out for the second half of the month are slim, and I don’t want to see him wait around this season.. I’m debating on just leaving it out and breeding him without it.
He does fit my exact original plans for him (with a MASSIVE thanks to @Visions for making him homozygous KP! I can’t say thank you enough! <3) <br />
What would you do?

I actually have the exact same situation with this guy-

Drakul
-except the gene I want is tiger eye. I decided not to wait and to go ahead and use him on the basis that I can GMT the perfect tiger eye liver someday down the line, and I have a lot of great foundies to play with now

I may do the same thing you’re doing. While I don’t think i’ll be able to GMT another one quite like him, I might just add KP to some mares down the line and breed him to them. Might hold back breeding him tomorrow though, just incase some giveaway results come back and I against all odds win some alleles.. which won’t happen, but I can dream :))
He is absolutely gorgeous by the way!!

No, you'll probably never recreate that guy lol. He's one of a kind! I love brindle on leopard!

Personally, I would save up hbs (or real money) to buy the kp. It's 5 GMTs per copy of KP

What you can do is to put St+ on a mare when it comes up, and then breed them together and get an amazing 2 gen stud.

I'd use him and do what Herzeloyde said, and put it on a mare when it comes up to introduce it into your herd

Just wanted to thank everybody for their input. I’ve decided to go ahead and use him for now and add sooty + to a mare when it comes out!
His first baby was a embryo but was a total success and exactly what I wanted except for bone density
Needless to say, i’m excited for the rest of this breeding season and will be making his straws post later tonight!

I recently won a new mare that I am super excited about! She's only two right now but I wish I could breed her this season! He might also be a good stud for her in the future! I also wish that I could sell eggs too but again I have only a basic upgrade. I am hoping to sometime soon get a premium, that depends upon this month and maybe the next so will have to see what happens! Would gladly share them with everyone then!
