Upgrade Question

I currently have a basic upgrade, and I have a few straws I haven't used yet in my freezer. If I let the upgrade run out and then re-upgrade say in a month or two, will my straws be available for me to use once I have the upgrade again? Or will they "disappear" once my account goes to non-upgraded status? Thank you for help :)
