-
How much would it cost cash to hbs for KP on her? Is it 1mil or 1.5mil?
I have two I want to trick out but I gotta watch my cash flow =))

You need two KIT genes as well for it to show.Post edited by Ammit at 2019-12-05 04:15:50Need to contact me? Read this first.

KP itself costs 5 GMTs per copy.
GMTs are currently 10 IVs each, and each IV costs 12,500hbs.
5 x 10 x 12,500 = 625,000hbs for each copy of KP
Kit Genes
Kit costs 1 token = 125,000hbs
Kitr costs 1 token = 125,000hbs
Kitto costs 2 tokens = 250,000hbs
Kitw costs 2 tokens = 250,000hbs
Kitw2 costs 2 tokens = 250,000hbs
Kitw3 costs 15 tokens = 1,875,000hbs
Kitm costs 40 tokens = 5,000,000hbs
Kitsb1 costs 4 tokens = 500,000hbs
Kitsb2 costs 10 tokens = 1,250,000hbs
Kitw8 costs 20 tokens = 2,500,000hbs
Kitw10 costs 10 tokens = 1,250,000hbs
Kitw20 costs 1 token = 125,000hbsGo boldly, where no App has gone before! -
It normally comes out to around 100k hbs for every dollar. So it would be 500k for one copy. If you can find someone to do it, it would be slightly cheaper to do it that way, but if there are no takers you could do it in the lab.

I’ll do it for hbs!Licensed in chinchilla, mushroom & splash M

Thank you Ammit and Katt!!!
This lady is part of my next project, since just finished two other new foundi studs. I was contemplating which kit genes to add; do we add sb2? W3? Tobi? Splash? Appy? Frame?
With that cost I realize I think im only getting one KP foundi toy this Christmas LOL
@Chesney is it okay if I buy a horse from you then for, say, 1.3million? Does that sound fair?
Ill just stick to adding KP to her for now :)Post edited by bravo25 at 2019-12-05 10:16:17 -
Splash, appy and frame aren't KIT genes so they wouldn't make KP show! I personally love KP with sabino and/or tobiano, but I've also seen ti with w8 and it's gorgeous. In the end, it's all about what you breed for or personally like
-
The full list of KIT genes are: Roan, Tobiano, W, W2, W3, W8, W10, W20, KitM, Sabino 1 and Sabino 2. To show KP, a horse has to have two KIT alleles, so one on each side, no plain Kit. It can be any combo of two of these, or two copies of the same one.
Some of these are lethal in combination, which is relevant for future generations, but the horse won't die if you GMT two lethals on. So you can make a horse hom W, which is lethal, and it will be fine and all of its foals will get W, but then crossing it with another horse with W will give you some lethal foals.
The various Splashes, Appaloosa, Rabicano, and Frame are not KIT genes and will not make KP showSpiderweb Stables

This is slightly off topic, but I'm new to this. This is my first horse I've put any modifications on. If I'm understanding correctly, I can breed her to any other horse with 2 kit genes and it should show? Or does it have to be another Christmas Present horse with KP? I don't know what I'm doing haha!

No on both counts, lol! To guarantee a KP foal, the sire would need to have two kit genes of some kind, and two copies of KP. KP is recessive, so to show you need two copies of it, one from each parent, and you also need those two kit genes. If the sire is heterozygous (like an unmodified Ghost of Christmas Present), you have a chance but it's not guaranteed. There are lots of horses around that aren't Christmas Presents and have two KPs and two kits, any of them would work

@Mistylynn91, if you want to KP to always show, you will have to breed her to a horse who is homozygous for KP and (ideally) have two kit genes. KP will not show with only one copy of KP or only one kit gene.
You may get lucky if you breed to a KP carrier, but it is a 50/50 shot.
This horse is homozygous for KP, but it won't show as he only has one kit gene.

You can use my colt as reference. Ive added a bit to him, but i stopped once I added Kit w. So he is not reflecting his KP, its "hiding."
I realized I have two phantom autum studs I want to blend all three lines. One stud is Ph Aut with homozygoys DP and appy, another is Ph Aut with w3, frame, splash, and silver. This boy my goal:
KP (done), silver (done), spotting appy/PNT1 (done), and his kit genes - sb2 and [wht] M.
The only problem is his last genes will cost about 6 milllion in IVs. Thank goodness for the sale this month!
