@CBarton just make a post with the questions you have about Secret Santa and watch the answers just fly in! It's a whole lot easier than it looks! Yes the new 1 million and under group is a bit intimidating, but there are more than plenty of people willing to help with presents for your giftee!♥️ Even if it is expensive!

It doesn’t have to be expensive if you are in the first group. You don’t have to spend a million dollars, it’s anything up to a million.

Past years experience shows that with a bit of work (using the search, looking though herd helpers, posting what your looking for and combing through the forum posts looking for people offering things your SS will appreciate) you can collect a much larger pile of presents for less than you can any other time of year.

Even when the limit was lower I found it extremely hard to actually spend the limit just to reach the second bracket without drowning my SS’s in gifts.

I always make a spreadsheet with a running total spent (divided by category straws, eggs, embryos, mares, stallions, show horses and including links and names of the horses and prices paid) often times I’ll use normal values rather than what I actually paid for each thing to calculate how much I’ve spent for each bracket (At least 500hbs for straws, 3000 for eggs, 2500 for horses) then when SS’s are revealed I copy my spreadsheet (excluding the prices) and past it into the PM so that it’s easy for them to see exactly what they’ve received and it’s a quick process to run down the list sending items so nothing is missed.

So true. One year I was exceptionally busy and did (I think) a very poor job. I felt so guilty.

Last year I was more organised and put together a serious swag of gifts, thanks to so many other generous and amazing players here.

I can't wait to start shopping for my SS giftee.

@LenasHollywood life is just not in my favor right now I'm hardly able to play due to tons of appointments in real life that my barns are full and overflowing I'm just at a stand still with it rn :/

Honestly if I had an upgrade I would be able to give people better gifts but with my free account im gonna struggle quite a bit :/

okay so questions:) I'm in the under 1 Million. If we wanted to add genes to a horse to gift to the person, is that okay as long as the hbs cost would be under the limit? or is the guideline no real cash? and if one of the gifts is a barn/pasture, how does that work? and how do we send gifts without revealing who the gifts are from too early? thanks for any help or direction to a thread for answers. It's fun to shop for someone else--especially for things I don't usually look for!

One GMT = 125,000 hbs so you could put 5 GMTs on a horse, if you can afford it, and still be well below 1,000,000.
