So I obviously don't have Chinchilla, I am interested in purchasing it. Can somebody give me a quick run down on it, what colours/patterns would work best with it? What should I avoid? Does it need two copies or is one enough to show?

Is anybody willing to show me their pretties so I can have a look?

Just to add, I will search the forum, but I thought somebody could give me a quick run down. Thank you very much.

It needs 2 copies to show. It looks best on silver blacks, silver grullos. I’ve seen it on browns and champagnes as well but I personally don’t like it as much. It makes any “ee” red based horse white.

Chinchilla requires two copies to show. I see a lot of people using it on Silver bases and with S+, KitM.

And here's my only chinchilla. I'm not really interested in making a whole line dedicated to it but it's very pretty.

Here's a couple of mine. It looks cool with regular nexus, my stud Kingston has nexus and kit m. I'm also liking it with watercolor :D. Most of mine are silver black based.

Chin strips away red pigment and leave black intact. So an all red horse like a chestnut becomes white, and a black horse (actually black, not black based) is unchanged.
Id suggest onyx add a pair, for your consideration

I bred for bay (EE AA), so it may be wasted in my barns.

This girl isn't bay, but she is a buckskin. She has frame and splash so I'm sure that doesn't help either lol

Ooooh. Imagine a Bay onyx chinchilla with gulastra’s plume.

I don’t get into the fantasy genes much (except onyx) but that would be pretty neat.

This my chinchilla boy, I think he's stunning obviously lol I forgot to take before and after screenshots though. He started off life as a starry eyed surprise chestnut appaloosa.

So the amazing AppleRunStables gifted me chinchilla as a Secret Santa on a starry eyed surprise. What an amazing gift and so much appreciated, I think I'm hooked.

I've added GP, Ice 2 & Ice 4 to him. What do you think?
