Leave the Ee and Aa, take away the nd1 which is lightening his coat.

Add one copy of DP. Remove nd1 as it lightens the coat. You won’t ever look exactly that like that because Pretzel Twist is Brindle, but that would be as close as it would get.

Also, he already has 1 dp but if you want him to be super dark like that other one, you'll want to add one more dp gene.

His base body color is ~~already there~~ close (bay with three darkening alleles), but the brindle and nd1 are lightening him up. Knocking off the nd1 will darken him up a fair bit. The darker spot on his withers shows what he would look like without the nd1.

To darken the tail, get rid of the splash. The splash has leaked into the bottom of his tail.

Because of the brindle, you can't match the second horse, but he's really close already.

Edited to fix my error. He does need another DP added. I missed the first horse being homozygous for DP.

The FF (non flaxen) will not affect a bay so no worries there. And yes, add the second DP. You have to add it to the left gene (the male sode) as the single DP that is already there is on the right (dam side).

Oh he is so beautiful to look at, and the brindle just adds to it. I fell in love with a DP silver bay and I knew i was in trouble when GMTs went on sale =))
