Have you double checked the size of the image you want to use? I believe that it can't be larger than 2 megabytes, and perhaps selecting 80 pixels by 80 pixels would also help. I know that was the size required on our old forum, and the box here is about that same size, to my eye.

The picture has to be uploaded from your own computer (or maybe a mobile device would work, though it would be harder to control the size there, perhaps). It also must be a picture that you took or otherwise own the rights to. Ammit is very strict about having the members follow all copyright rules.

I think that buying a photo gives you the right to that copy, but unless it was specifically stated that you also received publication rights, you probably should not use it in a public forum like this. Just like buying a book doesn't give you the right to copy large parts of it to share with friends.

You are fine to use the image. :)
