I'm just starting to play around with gene modifications and I see everyone talking about adding one gene and taking away another. When I try to remove a gene it just tells me the horse already has it. For example, I think I have a few DP colts that are het Pangare, pP, and when I select that gene in the lab it just tells me they already have it. How do you remove a gene a horse already has? The horses show up in the drop down menu, so I assume I'm able to do it.
Thanks in advance, and please correct me anywhere I may have wrong info!

If they are lined horses, you can only remove a gene/add a gene their parent has.

When you select the gene on his dams side, it should give you two options, a capital P and a lowercase p. Select the lowercase and it should change.
