I have two horses available under the Adopt A Horse scheme. This is an idea for very new players where they are given (for 1hb) a horse on the understanding that they don't sell it for profit but keep it to earn themselves hbs, or sell it on at a future date to another new player for 1hb.

The two horses in question are 20 year old show horses. They have so far survived three rollovers and may not survive the next one at the end of January, but in the meantime they will earn you hbs every day just by sitting in your stable, and if you enter them in shows twice a week they will earn you extra hbs as well. If they are lucky enough to make it through the next rollover then you will have another 'year' of income from them, and so on.
