Why do all my foals get gelded/spayed?
-
I'm so sorry I keep asking silly questions! But every time I breed and run all the tests on the foal, they almost always end up getting fixed:( Is there anything I should be doing differently?
-
Can we see the horses you are using?
Sometimes it’s just bad luck. Sometimes it’s one or both horses in the pair not being good breeding horses. Or it’s just not a good match. -
Are the horses you are breeding like generations, (foundation/foundation; 2nd/2nd ect...) and like papers (C/Yellow, B/Red, A/Blue, Star/Gold)? Links to a couple of your breeding horses would be helpful.

Looking through your altered stock it looks like you’ve been breeding a lined stallion to foundation mares.
The breeding advice compares the foal against both parents. If they aren’t close to being about as good as both of them then the foal is altered.
Your foals are most likely better than their mothers but really don’t have much of a chance to get close to their father because their parents are so far apart quality wise.
The best way to get intact foals is to breed like generations and papers. Foundation creates to foundation create. 2nd generations together, 3rd generations together. C-yellow. B-red. A-blue. However, those foals will make good show horses.
