I was looking at the DP codex, and I just can't see the difference between DP and not DP. Does anyone have more experience with buckskin DP who might have an idea? I will try test breeding her as well, but I know that can be really hit and miss for trying to find DP.

Well she's definitely not hom, as I bred her to a hom DP stud and got a het foal. She doesn't have any dapples, but the het example in the DP codex doesn't either.

DP Brown Buckskins are some of the more difficult things to spot for me. With regular Brown horses, I can see it on their belly. If the belly looks normal bay coloured, that would point towards non-DP, as DP darkens the belly to a shade similar to regular DP bays.

Here are some of my DP Brown Buckskins, and as you can see, their phenotype varies a lot..

I think I might just have to get as many eggs from her as I can next season, because I'm really curious if she actually has DP. Of course I could mod her into a chestnut and see if she's liver, but that almost feels like cheating at this point lol
