ONYX License
  • How do you get the onyx license with basic upgrade?
  • You have to buy the license when it's on sale through the Roving Gene Sales (at the bottom of the "upgrade with real money" page). It's not for sale right now, though.

  • @Maribo I heard there's a way with hb though?
  • Only if you offer someone hbs to buy the gene for you (when it's on sale). The going rate is 100K per dollar, or a little more.

  • You can offer for another player to add it to your horse. There’s usually a 100k per $1 real money spent exchange rate
Breeding even generation Grullos with KP, Axiom RBG & Wrong Warp, Chinnchilla, Onyx, Phantom Autumn, Bats, Ghosts, Pumpkins, Skulls & Spiders, Plaid, Watercolour genes
  • You have to modify a horse by adding the gene while it's for sale. Closed gene licenses are purchased with real money. Currently the only closed genes you can buy licenses for are Plaid and Nacre. They change on the 1st and 15th of the month. Usually you can see the most recent listed on the right side of the screen with the announcements.

To add it to a horse, on the left under "Upgrades and Extras" click "Upgrade With Real Money". Scroll down under "Limited Edition Gene", select the horse you want to add the gene to in the drop down box. Only unbred foundation horses (or ones that have had all their foals sold back to the game so they don't have any listed) can have these genes added. Once you've selected the horse you want, click "Modify This Horse" Then you can select which DNA strands you want to change. Double and triple checking the horse and which gene you are changing doesn't hurt!
  • Haha lots of good answers while I wrote a book.
