What would this mare be worth?
-
If I were you I’d post a forum auction to sell it off for the best profit but for a quick sale I would try 25,000hbs and lower it every couple of days if it doesn’t sellBreeding even generation Grullos with KP, Axiom RBG & Wrong Warp, Chinnchilla, Onyx, Phantom Autumn, Bats, Ghosts, Pumpkins, Skulls & Spiders, Plaid, Watercolour genes

I'd say to keep her as a show horse
-
I think you're pretty optimistic with that suggestion, Bandit1119. She's a perfect foundation and there are over 5000 perfect foundations in the Foundation Rescue (Owner 13) on sale for create price-2500 hbs-or a little over-2750 hbs.
@WheelerWalker: Perfect Foundations are usually good horses to keep. They have 100% breeding ability (top of the C paper range), 100% showing ability (PT 9.9), and are perfectly consistent, always having the same show score each time they are shown in a week.
If she isn't a color you're interested in breeding, keeping her as a show horse makes sense. Otherwise, I'd recommend putting her up for the larger foundation rescue price and if no one buys her in a reasonable time, send her to the auction.
P.S. I might even be willing to buy her for that price and add her to my collection of Perfect Foundations.Post edited by SandyCreekAcres at 2020-01-22 06:32:21 -
She has points, @SandyCreekAcres. She's worth at least 25k as her lifetime is higher than that at this point.
-
Yes if she didn’t have 779 points I would price her at 5000 max (just because create price and all of the testing I can do with a premium account would come up to 4,500hbs)
But since as a 4 year old she already has a lifetime pay out of 33k if she never shows again there are lots of players that would spend 25k stick her in a barn and show her and make more than 33k.
Personally I wouldn’t sell but since Wheeler only joined this month they probably need to build up their bank accountPost edited by Bandit1119 at 2020-01-22 07:04:49Breeding even generation Grullos with KP, Axiom RBG & Wrong Warp, Chinnchilla, Onyx, Phantom Autumn, Bats, Ghosts, Pumpkins, Skulls & Spiders, Plaid, Watercolour genes -
Ah. You two are right. I'm such an old player, in many ways, that I never thought to look at her points total.
My apologies, WheelerWalker, and Bandit. -
Honestly, I would keep her as a show horse, she's a nice boost to your daily payout! If you really want to make a profit off of her, keep her until she is 10 and then enter her in the auction, by that point she will have a starting bid of her lifetime payout (right now it's just above 33k you can see, but she's only going to gain more points over the next few months).
Otherwise list her a few thousand below her lifetime payout or do a forum auction, everyone loves high point show ponies! (I'd start her bid at 15k (half her lifetime payout) and see what people bit from there, you might be able to get more that 33k for her)Post edited by kgstable at 2020-01-22 11:25:02 -
The downside of keeping her to add to your own daily payout, @WheelerWalkerJr, is that when you reach- and guys, correct me if I'm remembering the wrong number- 20k points (all the points of all your horses combined), your creates are no longer created with points. A smart way to make money early on is to create as many perfect foundation, exceptionally perfect, and rank special herd helper yearlings as you can while they still come with points and sell them to us players who can't create pointed horses anymore. We're always happy to buy them, especially anything with over 300 points. They earn a lot of money for us in the long run, and if you're smart about it you can pad your bank account creating and selling them! Everyone wins. The reason for picking those herd helpers is that they're the ones that have guaranteed decent PT scores, which means they'll keep getting better and earning more points longer, and yearlings so that they've still got more years of showing in them.
That said, if it was me, I'd keep her. I'd keep ones over probably 500, sell those from 250-500 and stick any with less points than 250 in the public auction rather than put the effort into trying to sell them. But that's just me! Everybody plays the game a little (or a lot) differently!
Hope this helpsPost edited by Taliesin at 2020-01-22 11:37:37Spiderweb Stables
