He's hom DP right? What would you add to him?
-
So I have this boy I'm thinking of adding chocolate to. He's really dark! I'm trying to build a chocolate line since my fantasy line is all going together now.

Yup, hom DP. Chocolate wont show on him though, as it only works with black pigment :)ID 195859

I know! I like the really dark livers so I'm at a loss about whether or not to change him!
-
@Maribo was saying that chocolate on a liver chestnut line would never show, since the chocolate gene only shows (when homozygous) on horses that are Ee or EE (chestnuts are ee). If you added chocolate to this horse, you would never see it.Player ID #250257, She/Her

Yup I got that! However it would still exist on the horse and therefore would pass to offspring. Which is why I stated that I'm on the fence about changing his color. I never stated anything about a liver chestnut line so I am confused at where that came from, I think maybe you misinterpreted what I stated! He would be paired with a large variety of colors!

Ah yes, I did misinterpret several things you said. :)) My bad!Player ID #250257, She/Her
