Foundations producing 2nd gen superior red vs superior blue

    All my foundation mares are red papered. Most of their foals that test superior are blue, but some are still red.

    Does this mean that the foundations that have superior/red foals are likely inferior to foundations that have superior/blue foals? Or is it just luck?

    If I clear my pasture of those superior/red producing mares, will it improve my lines?

    A little luck, there is a range of breeding and showing ability that each mare can produce. Some years I get more blues and some years I struggle to get intact foals.

    If all your red papered mares are Exceptional Producers or Exceptionally Perfect, than they are all equal in their producing capability.
