Chocolate Black
-
Chocolate black is not the same as chocolate palomino in terms of genes, right? My mare shouldn’t be considered in my liver breeding program?
Nights of Na -
No, chocolate reacts with black pigment. A chocolate black is a black horse with 2 chocolate genes (bb).
A chocolate palomino has either StySty and DPDP, or StySty and DP, or Sty and DPDP. DP only reacts to red pigment.ID 195859 -
That’s what I thought, thank you!

What a beautiful horse!
