What is this mark?

It almost looks like KP, but I don't think that's possible.
Maybe it's the w20?Post edited by Xzeina at 2020-03-24 07:26:34 -

Strange. Did the brindle go over the white?
-
It brindled the splash white. Brindle isn't a marking, it's basically two separate sets of DNA merged into one horse. The two different sets are expressing the splash differently, and those two different expressions are mixed together enough to sort of blend. Here's one that's doing the same thing but with bigger, more separated 'sections' (she also has KP, that's what the cloudy patch on her shoulder is, not brindle/splash)

That's lace being skewed by the brindle.. there's no KP on either parents unless the somatic tattoo was removed.. also for KP to show it would need 2 kit genes and that foal has none so even if it was homozygous KP, it wouldn't show..

Congrats on the 2ng gen Brindle baby by the way! :)

Thank you! Thats good to know. Ended up with questionable marks, and not sure how to classify them yet, still :)

We're here if you have any other questions! I think we all know how hard to is in the beginning to learn something like this.. in the beginning it feels so complex but it does get easier with time especially with this community!

I’m autistic and I struggle with any kind of communication, so I apologize in advance if I say anything rude or offensive because there’s a 99% chance that I have no clue I did it. I appreciate your patience with me!

Another tobiano brindle where the white got brindled, the white is now very subtle.
