ETA: Thank you Ammit for the generous gift of eggs!
The grief that we have all been coping with today is unbelievable, but as always I'm amazed at the generosity and caring of this wonderful community.
I have immense gratitude to HelenofTroy for the mare, White Valley, Quiet Hollow, Amber, Seaswell and Mitchell022 for their generosity in sending me HBs so that I could create a tribute pony for Heather. Creating and sprucing her up has helped me a lot today.
I put a lot of thought into every aspect of this mare to encompass Heather's favourite genes and traits. She loved cobs, appies, black brindles and DP. She would have loved the chocolate gene and tiger eye. I wanted to add a gene that was special but also open so everyone could use it, so I chose het Nexus to represent the sparkle she always had. I envision her above the clouds with her Libby, Riot and Sadie ponies, so I wanted KP to remind me of that.
I named the mare Fly Away Gypsy Soul both for her special pony, Gypsy, and because she truly had a gypsy soul. She was so wonderfully chaotic and restless and loved learning new things - especially when it came to horse genetics!
I would like to share five out of the eight eggs I got from the flush. It will be a random draw. To enter comment with your ID and a memory you have of Heather or, if you didn't know her, your favourite real life horse colour gene and why it's your favourite.
If you don't have an upgrade to use an egg, you can still enter and I will create the foal for you.
The draw will close at end of game day tomorrow.
Fly Away Gypsy Soul
Thank you to all of your for being part of such an incredible community.Post edited by TrueNorth at 2020-03-26 15:34:23Thanked by 1annismyrph -

Dear Heather,
I have simply too many treasured memories to pick just one. We shared so much in common and my heart is heavy with loss. I think if I had to pick, it would be your rock collection. I loved the chick/chicken updates and helping you identify that neat snake you saw on the road but rocks hold a special place in my heart and you shared so many photos without hesitation. Your influence on me, and countless others, will never be forgotten. I would have been beyond honoured to call you a real life friend.

Alianne - thank you. You absolutely were a "real life" friend. I, too, never got the chance to meet her in person (I will regret forever that we didn't make our trip to Kentucky together) but I was proud to call her a friend.

I' ve read a lot of her old posts ; to re learn and just learn the way this game works ; I ve seen her passion and love for the ponies.
I am not asking to be put in the lottery as I feel there are others who have known her longer who deserve to have memories of her. Just know she will always be in my prayers and in our hearts.

I never had the good fortune to have much to do with heather from what I saw of her around the place she was a lovely person who was obvious;y loved by so many. I too love black brindle DP and appys my first create was a black appy I also have a passion for DP. Would love one of her eggs and I thinks the Name is perfect. May those who loved her find peace . she will be greatly missed but forever in your hearts and one day you will find that when you think about her you smile because you loved and knew her not cry because you miss her so. I pray for you this day is not too far away and the Pain is eased as each day ends. -

Heather was a dear friend, if it wasn't for her I would not be playing his game (I started 10/1/2013). She had the patience to help me step-by step through PM as I was totally lost. I knew Heather from a (not so fun) game previously - our friendship was close to 20 years. I miss her.
In the old forum, Heather ould run scavenger hunts. What fun it was! You had to messenger her the photos of what she was looking for to win a "gift basket" of game prizes.
Remembering her losing Riot, her cherished gold cream champagne TWH, the very same was she lost his dam, was such a heartbreaking time. But the joy she had with her Sadie - literally you could steer her with a carrot on a stick! And her chickens and chicken photos.
Heather gave me the Ex Pro to create my first Nexus stallion, pictured below. If I was graced with one of her eggs, I would use it with one of his straws.

I've only been a part of this community for a month, so I never got to talk to Heather, but I can see how much she meant to everyone.
My favorite gene would have to be the appaloosa gene. There’s something about it that I just absolutely love. Maybe it’s because I’m an artist and I love the visual appeal. I also love the genetics of the gene.
I only have a basic upgrade, but if I got a colt, he would be the only stallion that is ever bred to Nights Direction.I’m autistic and I struggle with any kind of communication, so I apologize in advance if I say anything rude or offensive because there’s a 99% chance that I have no clue I did it. I appreciate your patience with me! -
I sent 180 some eggs your way so that you can give them out whenever you see someone who deserves something special. <3Need to contact me? Read this first.
I sometimes get busy and miss things. If your private message, question, etc. gets missed please ping me so I can follow up with you. I am also always happy to explain or clarify. (HAJ does not have a customer service email, please send me a forum message! )

I did not know Heather, but I feel her loss. She was part of the community that literally saved my life after I lost my best friend last year.
I've made a stud during the mourning event that would very much like to make a foal with your mare next season when he's old enough. I've named him in her honor, so I will never forget the bright lights of our community.
I can't do eggs. Let me know if I can send you a straw or two at rollover.

Oh man, I haven't been very active on the forum the past few years but I have some old memories. She joined shortly after I did a long time ago. In 2010, 2011 there was a horse named Steel Maker, and his son Iron Torch who I bought straws from. Black, paint, appaloosas with frame, W2, all kinds of fancy things. I based an entire line off these horses piggy backing on hers. :)) I even copied my "breeding rules" we used to post in our notes from one of her studs. She went on to create many beauties and inspired me to get into DP and then KP. Thinking of her makes me think of the old forum and the games we would play, first and foremost the scavenger hunts! We also used to do this thing where we would pair our horses and guess what the foal would be? Or let others guess, does anyone else remember this?
I didn't like chickens, I'm very scared of them, but loved her updates. :) I remember she ended up naming one Boss Chick or something and that just cracked me up!
She was always so kind to new players and will be dearly missed. I wish I had gotten to know her better. Its cool though getting to read these and see the impact she has made and lives she has touched. I too read lots of her posts while trying to figure this game out. Pretty sure she helped explain show horses to me more than once! Thank you for doing something in her honor. <3<br />

I never had the pleasure of knowing heather. But from what I gather she was an amazing person. Hearing of her death has saddened me so much. She was much too young to be gone so soon. My heart aches for her friends and family. I hope peace finds them all.

I never had the honor or pleasure of knowing her and it sounds like I missed out on knowing an amazing person who was the epitome of this community. For those that did know her and the community in general, I'm so very sorry for your loss. My thoughts are with you all.
@TrueNorth that is a beautiful girl you created and I'm sure she would be honored at the though you have put into her and for sharing her. You are a good friend.
I would be honored to have an egg if you have any. I only have a basic upgrade though. 243642 -
I would be truly honored if i was able to get one of these eggs ... I'd actually like to see if i could combine this offspring with what I have left of the first horse that Heather ever gave me. (take about 5 gens maybe less)
I've spent the day going through old art files of everything she ever drew for me ... she was so talented and funny as heck. She never gave up on me and nor would she let my bad experience stop me from playing another "horsie game". She knew just the right words to peak my interest until I finally relented with a "fine you win Stauffer, but it better be all that your saying ..." turns out it was and so much more.
She is going to be so missed ... so very very missed
