Today's my birthday, I am 43 years old, but it's definitely not gonna be one of my better ones.

Yesterday the ambulance came for my mom, I had to watch the whole thing from my house (I live two houses over), I couldn't come over with times being what they are now.

So I'm worried about her. Plus I'm worried about myself. The state was in the process of reviewing my disability and apparently they hadn't gotten my paperwork or proof that I had mailed in, so I haven't been able to go to a SS office and get things straightened out because of things being the way they are now. So I don't know if I'll get my SSI check or not.

Yet I know that I am more fortunate than many others, since I do live with my boyfriend, and he's more secure financially. I'm just not sure how long it'll take until I'll be able to get things straightened out.

Breathe deep today ( as it is Sunday ) and tomorrow start lighting up the phone lines ; you CAN ask the Hospital to video conference with your mom if she was admitted. and eventually you will get an actual human on the phone at SSI to speak with ( it just might take a 2 hour hold time )

Oh, I've called the person that was handling my disability review several times last week, every time the call went to voice mail. I've left several messages and none of my calls have been returned.

Update: My mom checked herself out of the hospital, there was nothing broken, she had fallen twice (she's 62) and is just hurting. She said the hospital would not give her anything for the pain. Plus she doesn't have the virus. She did say that the hospital gave her something as a preventative measure against the virus.

I'm sorry you had a bummer birthday. I hope the rest of your year brings many happy surprises your way. :)

Oh, thanks. I'll pick up the show foals tomorrow.

I've checked the SSA website, they are only doing basic functions, and they aren't handling disability review cases atm.
