I've already made mention of this on the Facespace but:

I have officially been admitted to the hospital. I had DRSP (treatment resistant pneumonia) some time ago and it left my lungs in a less than ideal state for the current virus. Recently, I began showing symptoms of the virus so I contacted my doctor and we setup a plan to monitor my condition. Early this morning my service dog woke me up and kept me awake until I was able to call emergency services. My breathing and fever had worsened past the point my doctor and I considered acceptable. I hadn't been tested previously but I will be now. It is likely I will be here until I recover. I'm not sure how much I'll be on so I apologize to those I still haven't gifted yet in the Giveaway thread. I WILL get stuff out when I'm feeling better.

Prayers heading your way, @Alianne! We'll wait on the updates as necessary to protect your health. Update us when you feel like it, but rest as much as possible, please.

Oh my gosh, I really hope you will be doing better soon and are ok! I can't really leave my house myself let alone without wearing a mask because of my immune condition and have been praying to stay out of the hospital with all this going on! I recently had the stomach flu a few days ago, it was terrible and I'm still tried but at least it wasn't the virus! I am praying that it's not the virus for you and that you will recover well!

Thank you all for the well wishes.

I'll keep this brief as I'm fairly exhausted. I had to be ventilated roughly a week ago as I couldn't breathe on my own and was only taken off yesterday evening. I'm glad to be off and seem to be on the mend, even if I still require supplemental oxygen.

I am so incredibly relieved. I figured you must have needed a ventilator when you were gone for so long. Really really glad you are ok.

Thank you very much, @Herzeloyde that was extremely generous of you. It will help a great deal when I'm up for it.

It was pretty sudden. I was doing decently ok, feeling almost well enough to not even need extra oxygen and then just tanked. Feels like the last thing I want to do is sleep more but man, I am wiped.

I've also been thinking about you, especially when we hadn't heard. So glad you're OK. I think it will probably be a long recovery so take it easy. How is your hero dog?

He is doing well. He is trained as a therapy dog. He likely would have laid around and pouted at anyone who interacted with him.
