Can only imagine what happened in pasture
-
For some reason this is amusing to me.
This season I had put those 3 boys into the same pasture
FS Gekalaraz 1
FS Dasinexal 1 KP
FS Krawocanil 1
Given their ages, you would think that the 5 year old would have gotten a good share of the ladies.
Nope, it was the 17 year old who got 45 ladies! The 2 other poor boys had to make ado with 29 and 26 apiece.
Generally, I'm satisfied if the boys get 30ish apiece since I view that as being an somewhat even distribution of mares among the boys.

Generally I don't mind getting hit with the colt fairy in the earlier generations. It just means less ladies going into the pastures later and saves me from having to figure out how to fit them in since I am limiting myself to 2 pastures for 2nd, 3rd and 4th gen.
It's 4th gen and beyond that I do mind getting too many colts since I need fillies to fill the 5th gen pasture with. Less mares in 5th gen pasture means a much harder time getting 6th gen keepers.
