I had a blue merle collie when I was growing up ; we named him Smokey had him for 14 years

My current SDiT (Harley) is a one year old black lab/cattle dog mix that we got from the humane society.. she's the perfect mix of both breeds and even has merle on her chest! (I'm a sucker for merles lol).. she does her job and does it well but if she sees the opportunity to love on someone out in public, she's taking it full force! No amount of "leave it!" Will change her mind! And being she's a super pretty dog, she gets a lot of attention.. it's going to be worse with Nova... So using Harley at home and being strict with Nova's training for when she does have Public access is what I felt was best.. but the help from a service dog is amazing! Having someone watching out for you (when you normally don't realize you need it until it's too late) takes the weight of the world off your shoulders!
