So, got the call that Rural King got their Zombie Chickens in (Guineas...lol). So...I had them hold 6 for me until I could get up there as it's an hour and some drive for me. Got there, not a soul in the store, and they were just unboxing them :D
One of the young men there started boxing them up for me and I started looking at their other bitty babies....and wound up buying 6 "Araucanas" (Easter Eggers actually, LOL).
Got the babies home. Put the chicks in their new brooder, put the keets in with them for now. Was on the phone with my mom as I was putting them in and once I hit 6, I stopped. Finished my phone call. Got food and water for them and dipped their beaks in each as they didn't seem to know what to do with it--the chicks that is, the keets were diving into it unassisted! Picked up the boxes they were packed in and heard a *BREEEEEP*. Looked in the cardboard box the keets were in and seen another. Looked back to the brooder, counted six in there. Looked at my box, it said 6 Guinea Keets. Looked at my receipt, and they only charged me for 6. So..yay. Free bird! :D

The fat fuzzy faces of the Easter Eggers lured me in. I told my mom how cute they were and she was like, pick 6 up for us then. I needed no further convincing (the keets are hers. I had thought about getting some, and she decided they'd be a good idea). I told her from now on, I'm giving her money for chick feed and she can go in those stores and turn away the cute fuzzy faces.
