Gene Modification in Second Gen Stud with Foals Found

I have a second generation Stud I am looking to modify to homozygous ff. I have modified one of the breeding foals, an adult mare to be homozygous ff. She definitely got F from the stud since she was Ff.
It is my understanding that I can't modify this stud if he has offspring that inherited F from him in game. As long as all of his foals with that F are out of the game, can I modify him? -
no, it has to be all foals entirely.

You cannot modify a horse that has any living descendants whatsoever. Also whether you could even do that mod depends on his parents' genes, since he's a lined horse. Can we see the horse in question?Spiderweb Stables
