Create Embryo Bug (fixed, nope I'm just an idiot)
-
So I got a little over eager and forgot that basic couldn't breed until 12pm because I was already breeding with my premium on Mesa. I pulled one straw and tried to create an embryo with one of my mares earlier today and got an error that I couldn't breed until 12pm. No big deal.
I went back in to look at it and notice the straw was gone, again no big deal thought maybe it just didn't go through so I pulled 5 more. Then I noticed the mare is not on my list of available mares. I checked my transactions and it charged me for both the straw pull and the embryo creation but I didn't get a foal. This is the mare in question.

Help?! Is there anything I can do? This was the cross I was most excited about this season :((Post edited by Ammit at 2020-07-07 06:56:28 -
I think you always can create an embryo, even when it is not breeding season (after the 28th), but you just cannot implant them (thus create a live foal) untill the breeding season opens for you.
Can you check in your advanced breeding lab under view embryo's to see if the embryo you have created is there? Because I think that is what happened: you did create the embryo (that's why you were charged, mare disappeared from the list and all) but just cannot implant it yet (that's the message that you couldn't breed yet).
Edit to add: yes I just tried to create an embryo (I am a basic upgraded member myself) and it let me make one, however I cannot implant it yet (thus get a live foal out of it).
Edited again: nevermind, it let me create a foal because breeding season is now open for me.
Also just to clarify: in order to get a foal you first need to create an embryo by combining a straw + an egg or a straw + a mare, and after that you go to the 'implant an embryo' tab in your breeding lab and implant said embryo into another mare, which will result in a foal. The latest embryo you have created is on the bottom of that list. Have you done both steps (create AND implant in another mare)?Post edited by MasterStablesMS at 2020-05-02 10:23:41HJ1 160524

Ah it was in the Implant Embryo area. Wow thank you so much. I've never used the feature before and didn't realize it was in a separate section! Gosh I'm idiot =))

wait ; only Premium members can use them ? according to the FAQ's on the page ; double check to make sure you can in fact USE it

Basic members can create embryos by using a straw and one of their mares (which I think can done every 5 days like egg pulls, but could be wrong on that). The embryo is then implanted into a surrogate (which is the step I missed). On Basic we just can't pull eggs to save for later or sell

@annismyrph no basic upgrades can create, buy, sell and implant embryo's. However, they can only make it by combining a straw into a real owned mare, where premium upgrades can also make embryo's by combining a straw and an egg. Basic upgrades cannot use and collect eggs, that is a premium only feature.
With eggs you can collect an egg every 5 days, and also flush a mare, resulting in many more eggs to use.
With embryo's you can only make an embryo of a unbred mare every 5 days, as soon as she is bred you cannot make an embryo anymore.HJ1 160524
