Visible DP, KP, GP
-
I just wanted to say that this has been so much fun. I thought I had DP and KP pretty well tracked through my lines but I recently found a ton of DP in one of my EE lines that I would have never suspected. On top of that I found out some of my lower PT livers carried KP and my high PT *gold and *star KP line had GP!
I have been going through all my barns.
This guy for example is hom KP but het DP and GP. I never would have guessed that! His DP came from a long line of browns.

One question, because I have never bred for GP, what does it show up best on?Post edited by DressageChickFL at 2020-05-02 22:54:13 -
I've had the same thing, surprise dp showing up in my E? aa black lines haha! An awesome surprise, considering my main line is livers :D
GP only shows up (when it's homozygous) on Bays, browns and buckskin base colours (or amber champagnes? I don't breed for champ but i assume champs with agouti would show it)
But as long as those are the base colour it also comes up on chinchillas, chocolates ect.
