How do you play this game?!
-
I am so new to this game - I dont understand anything!! Does one level up? And do we get $$ each time we log in, like Howrse?

Welcome to the world of Hunt & Jump. This is a great game, especially for learning about horse color genetics and how they get passed on from sire and dam to foals. The basic activities are training and showing your horses, and breeding them during breeding season. Each player sets personal goals an plays to reach them.
You will get a weekly "paycheck" at the midnight roll-over between Saturday and Sunday. The amount depends on your level. There are prestige levels that you reach by breeding and creating horses. These will give you an extra stall for every two levels you complete. Check out the Upgrades section on the left menu bar for the playing levels that can be purchased that will open up lots of helpful features.
Here is a link to the introductory threads on our old forum. Some of the information is outdated, but a lot of it is still valid.

You can also try checking out the Help Me Out category here to see what questions other new players have asked and how they were answered.
Please don't hesitate to ask any specific questions you may have. We are a very friendly community and are always willing to lend a helping hand to new players.Post edited by SandyCreekAcres at 2015-02-24 17:10:05 -
Your stable can level up, but it's more bragging rights than anything - you don't gain powers or such. :)
You get paid weekly, but the real money comes from showing your horses. The amount the game gives you is chump change compared to what a good string of show horses can earn you.
And no, this game is *nothing* like any of the other equine sims out there. :)
To start with, we have a realistic economy and the genetics of the horses in this game are based on real equine genetics. The first means you'll find horse prices to be fairly realistic and the second means you can actually learn about real horse genetics by playing here.Post edited by Gael4ce at 2015-02-24 19:07:15 -
Agree with Gael4ce, and can speak from experience, this game is nothing like Howrse. This is more of a real world, hands on, learning tool, with a much better community aspect ;)
