Crazy Kitten Story
-
My sister and I went to do some shopping the other day and things took an unexpected turn..
She was driving down the road and there was this odd bag blowing around on the road and it wasn't until we were almost on top of it did we realize that it was actually an injured kitten. She swerved and missed hitting, but there was too much traffic behind us to just stop. But the cars behind us did stop. Been praying that one of them took it to a doctor.
So we kept going, feeling all sorts of shock and horror for nearly running over the kitten, it was a little one. We had just started to feel better and had driven a little farther down the road. When we found another one right in the middle of the road, this time we stopped and I got out and picked it up. Thankfully the traffic wasn't as heavy and he was uninjured, but very grimy, like he has been climbing around under a car.
He's the same color ginger tabby as the other one as well, must have been from the same litter. I'm guessing he's about 2 months old, his eyes are still baby blue, but starting to turn green. Doesn't seem to be feral, but he may just be too young know that he's supposed to be, lol. Definitely well fed. Definitely has some kind of eye infection going on, possible a cold as well. We did stop at the closest pet store and got a few things for him. Any advise for treating his eyes until we can take him into see a Veterinarian, will be welcome.
They had to have been either dumped -
I foster kittens all the time ; I have 8 bottle fed babies ( 3 different litters ) right now ; be prepared for some fun ! LOL
any way you can wash his / her eyes with warm water on a cotton ball or paper towel gently stroking over his face the way a momma cat would wash him, that will clear his eyes a bit and help get the gunk off ; if you can't get him to a vet right away see if the local pet / feed store has something called Terramycin ; its an antibiotic for eyes ; its kind of expensive ( $20usd for a 1/8 oz tube here ) but it lasts for a long time ; you would squeeze a little onto your finger tip and gently stroke it over his eye a couple of times a day after the washing
good luck ! and feel free to ask me anything !Thanked by 1OopsDotCom
