Appaloosa - Picture not matching genetics
-
Good afternoon. I've decided as I explore this game, I want to focus on breeding Appaloosa's. However, unless I'm really behind in genetics, my pictures do not match up to my horse.
I recently purchased this mare
FR10133172
And her tested genetics are as follows:
Phenotype: Bay Appaloosa
Pigment Modifiers
Black: E/EBay: A/AFlaxen: -/fPangare: -/p
White Markings
Appaloosa: -/LP
Additional Info
White Factor: None
So my confusion is if she only expresses one copy of the LP gene, and has no known Pattern genes, why is she showing a Spotted Hip Blanket?
-
Because multiple factors influence blanket size, not just the PATN1 gene.Need to contact me? Read this first.
