Straws/Eggs Question
-
Planning for the gift exchange - can a player purchase straws/eggs that have genes for which she does not own a license? For example, if my giftee breeds for watercolor, could I buy watercolor straws directly to then gift myself, or would I have to use a workaround to pay the stud owner and have that person send to my giftee?
Edit: I know that without the license, the player cannot use the straws/eggs herself.Post edited by LenasHollywood at 2020-06-02 07:27:32 -
I think they need to go directly from the stud owner to the gifteeThanked by 1ConfluenceStable

Are you certain on that, or is it just a strong guess?

The game tells "you cannot purchase this straw, you need a license" or something to that effect. I normally just ask the person with the stud or mare to send the straw or egg directly. I then pay the stud or mare owner separately or purchase a horse for the value of the straw/eggs.

I know if you try to buy from Auction it wont let you ; unless its a spelding ; most in here would be more than willing to play middle man for the gift exchange ; just ask :)

You'd have to pay the horse owner and have them send the straws/eggs to the giftee. Which also keeps you anonymous in the giving, conveniently!Spiderweb Stables

Thank you all, sounds like the simplest route for me that is to wait until the 15th to start straw and egg shopping. That way the stud or mare owner doesn’t have to try and remember to send it later.
