To me when I read this, and I've read it several times, it looks like it's telling you to breed a mare to a mare... first you set the breeding price on the stallion.... well, you can see for yourself...

How to breed...
two horses you own together.
Open the page of your stallion.
Click the Control Panel tab, enter a price into the Set Breeding Fee box and click the button.
Return to the Horse Info tab and click the Breed To This Horse button.
Select the name of your mare from the drop down and give the foal a unique name.
Click Create Foal to breed the two horses.

Sorry, I think it's just me. When I read "Return to horse" I'm reading that as "return to the other horse (mare)"

I had to read it twice, but it made sense to me on the second reading. It does say 'Return to the horse info tab' so to me that says the horse you are looking at ie the stallion.

Perhaps a few other people could read it and say how they interpret it.

are you doing in house breeding? if so ; select ONE of the two you want to breed page ; go to control panel ; select in house breeding ; select either live cover or straw cover ; name the foal ; then hit select/breed and it will create the foal

As someone who has been playing many years, the instructions are perfectly clear to me, but maybe Confluence might be willing to reword the line that's giving you problems to "Return to the Stallion's...."

I can see how it might be a bit confusing to a player using the technique for the first time.

I've done it lots in previous years when I used to play, just hadn't seen it in writing. No, not in-house. Just regular breeding. So used to bad grammar when I was putting together those group assignments when I was in college, not used to reading correct grammar.
